How do I hear about job matches?
The system automatically sends you an email. Simply log on to Intro and view details of the vacancy(ies) in your CV Manager.

What is a CV Manager?
A CV Manager is your personalised area of the site where you can create and update your CV, view and apply for vacancies and generally manage your job search.

Could my employer see my CV if they use the system?
No. You will get all the job details first, including the company name. You alone control who receives your CV.

Why create a new CV when I already have one?
Intro does require some investment of time but you'll find it's worth it. The system works by comparing your CV fields against the employer's vacancy fields, delivering a far more accurate match than the conventional word search. This means that your email inbox will not be inundated with unsuitable job alerts.

How wide is the employer audience?
Intro introduces new levels of freedom and accessibility to the recruitment market by firstly not having any upfront fees or restrictions on the amount of vacancies or CVs a company can place or view and secondly by creating multiple gateways into the system itself. With these incentives, companies will inevitably use Intro as their first choice which means that you potentially have access to more jobs and are ensured maximum CV coverage.

Who creates the vacancy profiles?
The vacancies are placed by the employers themselves so there is a direct link between you and the employer.

What is a Gateway Partner?
A Gateway Partner is any company, professional body or organisation etc that, by placing a free 'Intro button' on their website, provides a link into the Intro system for themselves and for any other traffic using their site.

Can I cancel my CV?
Yes. You have complete control over your CV. You can simply deactivate and activate it through your CV Manager.

Can I set up more than one CV?
Yes. You can create a different CV for each industry sector.

What if the job is placed by a recruitment agency?
Any job offered via an agency will be clearly marked. All agencies using the system are obliged to enter the details of real profiles from existing clients. Recruitment companies are free to use Intro as a legitimate tool however any abuse of the system should be reported to our helpdesk.

Why do I have to select specific fields when creating my CV?
The system is designed to find the job you want. For example, if you stipulate 'Data Analyst' in the job sector field our system will only send you vacancies for a Data Analyst. The system will not try and 'shoehorn' you into another position.

Will employers be shown my salary expectations?
No. The match against salary is a hidden comparison and is used to ensure that we send you details of vacancies within the appropriate salary bracket.
